On 15-16 November 2016, the second International Conference on Eating Disorders was held at the MAST Foundation Auditorium in Bologna.
The Conference, organised by the Gruber Foundation in collaboration with ANSISA, was an important opportunity to reflect on the physical and psychological suffering of people affected by Nutrition and Eating Disorders.
The protagonist of the two days was the body, which – starved, rejected, depressed, offended, exhibited or imprisoned – is always at the centre of the experience of patients suffering from eating disorders. Authoritative national and international clinical ED representatives examined possible treatments for the suffering body and the approaches of different disciplines, keeping in mind the goal of therapeutic integration within diverse care contexts.
