In collaboration with the Gruber Foundation, ASNU organises seminar events aimed at investigating current and complex clinical issues, which are often a source of criticality in the treatment of patients with eating disorders (EDs).
The seminars are aimed at professionals who collaborate with the Gruber Foundation facilities as part of the care network for ED patients.
These events comprise a lecture by specialists in the treatment and study of EDs, followed by analysis and discussion of a case with the aim of encouraging useful reflections for care orientation and daily clinical practice.
Scientific consultation on seminars and clinical case supervision is provided by Professor Massimo Recalcati. Events are organised in collaboration with the Gruber Residence

The sibling complex in clinical eating disorders
Lecture and clinical supervision: Professor Massimo Recalcati
At this event, Massimo Recalcati will discuss the incidence of the sibling complex in individuals with eating disorders (ED) and its impact on their family system. An intrusion complex that has not been processed frequently lies at the origin of EDs. Phenomena of rivalry, aggression and envious hatred are often observed in the dynamics of sibling relationships and are decisive in the subject’s psychopathological development. The second part of the day will be devoted to the analysis and discussion of a case presented by the Gruber Residence multidisciplinary team and supervised by Massimo Recalcati, with the aim of encouraging useful reflection on care orientation and daily clinical practice.

Lecture: Professor Vittorio Lingiardi
Clinical supervision: Professor Massimo Recalcati

The second part of the day will be devoted to the analysis and discussion of a case presented by the Gruber Residence multidisciplinary team and supervised by Massimo Recalcati, with the aim of encouraging useful reflection on care orientation and daily clinical practice.
